Honestly, I’m only 47. I can’t really remember a time when the Dems have actually been “for” the little guy. It always seemed to be the use and abuse them approach. They always seemed to be just a means to an end in my lifetime. Besides, all their constituents seem to be victim groups. Maybe that’s just me.
Of course, I came of age in the Godawful Carter years. My first vote was for Reagan….
