Obama Supporter Assaults Female McCain Volunteer in New York
This is despicable. But I won’t say that nobody on the right is capable of this. My wife and I went to the pro-Bush/anti-Cindy Sheehan rally in Crawford a few years back and met up with Kfir and his crew from Protest Warrior. PW was invited specifically by the event organizers. When the pro-Bush, pro-American, flag-waving crowd saw Kfir’s crew with their signs — “War is not the answer, unless a Democrat is president”, etc with their satire of the Left — they went nuts. They thought the PW guys were leftist protesters, surrounded them, grabbed their signs and threw them down and stomped on them. Shouting and screaming, and my wife was physically shoved. Things were getting out of hand so Kfir had his PW guys just leave.
So while the “Kill him” guy was bullshit, don’t think the Right is somehow holy and won’t ever bring itself to stoop to the level of rabidly emotional crowdthink. They can, and will, and we witnessed it firsthand. Because of that and now the Palin selection, we figure there isn’t much difference between the Dems and Repubs anymore.
And we’re the ones who compared Bin Laden’s 2004 video to the Democrat talking points, in case there’s doubt about our “conservative credentials” or claims of apostasy or some other crap like that.
