It doesn’t matter if we as individuals follow in John Galt’s footsteps. Obama’s targets, the big corporations, banks and investors, will simply send their money, their jobs and their factories overseas.
American socialism’s Achilles heel is that they are unable, so far, to use naked force to prevent citizens and corporations from escaping their redistributionist schemes. (New York City is pushing for an ‘exit visa’ (government permission) for companies who want to flee their confiscatory tax rate, so perhaps this idea as a national policy may not be far off.)
I’ve seen in the past corporations who have moved or closed up shop because of arrogant unions who thought they had them by the acorns.
If this happens again I’ll cheer these corporations on. I’d kill to see the looks on the faces of these ‘second-handers’ as they see their victims and their money vanishing.
Unfortunately that’s usually when their real side comes out and the force is applied.
