Well Greystonebabe I can tell you Obama is viewed as the Messiah in the European press/media and Ireland is no exception.
A large number of western Europeans sneer at the US though the eastern Europeans rarely do.
There seems to be a definite correlation between anti-American vehemence and Obama support here.
Of all the newspapers available to me in Ireland, the only one I read with any regularity is The Daily Telegraph (UK).
