While Samantha may sound a bit harsh- she is actually totally correct in her analysis.
For MONTHS Thompson has been running, but not declaring for his own financial reasons. This has been a sham, and I am glad someone is suing him over it. The ENTIRE POINT to a nominating process is to find the BEST candidate over the long term- else why wouldn’t EVERY person just announce a week before Iowa after dodging pesky questions and fundraising?!!!
The Fred!heads can make as many excuses as they want, but I don’t want a guy who enters a Marathon starting on mile 20- while everyone else started at the beginning! Fred’s hoky corn pone act will be demolished by Hillary after the last 8 years of President Bush!
