“Er, right. Rudy really demolished Hillary the first time around.”
There never was a “first time around.” The possible fight for the U.S. Senate seat was not to be. Also, Americans were largely unaware of the threat of Islamic nihilism. It would be another year or so before the events of 9/11.
Hillary Clinton will not stand a chance in a debate with Rudy Giuliani when it revolves around the war on terror. There is no way that she can deny that a very high percentage of Democrats believe that terrorism is a minor threat best handled by the criminal justice system.
