Dear Republicans,

You CAN’T win this election with no plans – just look at the debates McCain didn’t offer any solutions. Obviously, he just wants to deepen the pockets of large corporations (his words – tax breaks for oil co’s with hopes to cascade cheaper prices down to us). He wants healthcare to be competitive, forcing its unravel (chamber of commerce).

Regardless, I don’t hate any of you guys or will make any sweeping generalizations about if you’re a racist or any of that crap. I won’t hit any of your women (or men for that matter lol). Frankly, I voted via absentee and I’m proud of that I participated in the process (have to travel for work). Besides, if McCain wins, he’s a total modern patriot and I respect that. He’s worked with everybody and I can’t say I agree on all his policies or know what a lot of them are.

I guess I’m more liberal, but here is what I believe or maybe I should say I be believing so that categorizes me correctly:

I believe in the golden rule – do unto others as they would to you. I live in Chicago and sometimes I give money to bums and sometimes I see the same bums and am like why is that guy such a wastoid. I don’t like war in general, but do believe that it is a necessary evil. I have friends in Iraq and they don’t support the war. My bf is in the Navy and has stated to me that more 4 star generals have quit under this president than any other, but that doesn’t reflect any one other than Bush, which by the way I believe is a miserable failure. However, I think he’s got some admirable qualities. You can fail and i’ll still like you is a belief.

The economy sucks for everyone. I’m 29 and have a 401k and some mutual funds and i looked once last week and am scared to look again. If you really read between the lines, it’s our bipartisan system that has caused this problem through multitudes of fumbles, rather than one party. I believe in seeing the forest through the trees rather than just the trees. I can’t understand why Joe the Plumber complained because Obama’s tax plan would help him if you do unbiased math. Oh and by the way, my bf is a republican. We debate at home and we never come to an agreement except to disagree. Relationships require compromise but this actually leads to a very healthy sex life.

My brother is gay and I think we share the same beliefs on the gay marriage thing: gays shouldn’t marry, but a civil union granting them the same rights is fine and dandy. Besides, only God can determine their holy destination. I believe the underlying message Jesus brought to the world was love man and embrace his mistakes for they are all our own. I think the bible is outdated, but also think it allows for interpretation – again! I think the constitution is outdated as well.

I own guns but don’t shoot often. It’s powerful and fun to shoot pop cans. I have a bi-racial niece and 2 nephews. Now, their fathers are losers but the kids they helped create are magnificent and will surely make an impression upon the world.

Two of my best friends in the world are republicans and we disagree a lot, but we drink together, dine together and share a ton of the same views. I’m fiscally responsible. My student loans are almost paid off and I don’t think I live beyond my means, but I am comfortable. I had to pay my sister’s mortgage cause she was one of those subprime people that the world is talking about. However, she had a string of bad luck and now she’s back on her feet!

I guess i’m a bad liberal. I voted for Obama because I really feel connected to him and believe the democratic process has more sides than that of the president. But I do agree, congress is lazy! Pelosi sucks. I think the key is coming together. I could be wrong once again…

anyways, those are my beliefs! not all liberals, but sweeping generalizations are seldom accurate.
