I work every morning at the local McCain/Palin office. Lately there have been more and more “moms” coming in for signs, stickers or to volunteer. These are people who, in some cases, never voted before (and are a group the pollsters don’t count on). They are usually quite tentative about taking home signs and stickers, enquiring if we had heard any stories in regards to signs. They are so fired up to vote this year, yet fear showing it. We live in a generally quiet suburban area and these ladies aren’t afraid about losing the free platic signs, they are afraid of violence because of the signs.

Why is that?
