Rising Tide of Anti-Semitism Is Finally Pushing Jews to the Right
Ken: I’d never fit in in Israel. First, I was raised Reform, and today am not at all observant. So, I am not considered a “real Jew” – or welcome there – by much of your defacto leadership.
Second, America is my country, not Israel. I live an American life, exercise many US customs, and am a mountain man at heart. Most of my friends are gentiles because so many Jews here are like the woman described in the article. I speak virtually no Hebrew.
Thanks for the offer, but I refuse to run. Jews have been running for centuries. I won’t. This is my country. If I leave her, it will not be because the Berkeley or the Dearborn crowd runs me out.
