I seriously doubt any increase in personal or corporate taxes will result in increase government revenue. We are past the top of the Laffer Curve on both. The Kennedy, Reagan, and Bush tax cuts all resulted in increased revenue.
Increasing taxes will drive businesses abroad and the economy underground. Plumbers, carpenters, and painters typically charge 30% less if you pay in cash. Look for more barter and trade if taxes go even higher.
