I have a crazy (sarc) idea, why don’t we as Conservatives work to reestablish the Constitution as our governing document. Ever since the Civil War the Federal Government has usurped the Constitutional powers of the states. The 10th Amendment places clear limits on the Fed which it ignores on a daily basis. Almost everything the Fed does today is unConstitutional. If we want to be “safe” from a socialist Obama administration and the insane Nancy Pelosi and weak Harry Reid then we must work to return power back to the states. The Founders intended the states to be the laboratories of democracy free to try new ideas and either succeed or fail. Americans also had the freedom to move from state to state to seek relief frmo taxation or social burdens. The states had to compete for residents. With an all powerful Fed there is no escape. This needs to be a model for all Red states. Red states also need to resist the efforts of their new Liberal residents fleeing like locusts from the destruction they visited upon their former homes to impose increased taxes and add more social services.
