Crafty, you miss the point entirely. True conservatives are not right wingers as the left has labeled everyone that doesn’t agree with them. True conservatives are the ones that want smaller government and lower taxes. There are conservatives in both parties they are now called moderates because the socialist and the theocrats have taken over the Democrats and the Republicans respectfully. I want to bring the country back to the middle with a government of fiscal responsibility and much smaller scope. The federal government has been so deep into local issues that we have forgotten that we used to push back against government control of everything. Of course no one is Washington wants this because if they aren’t allowed to bribe people with money how will they ever stay in power. The Democrats have known this for a long time and now the Republicans are doing it too. This isn’t helping America!!! We need to cut spending and pay off the national debt. If you and the people around you want something then you should vote on a local or state bond to pay for it and not expect the federal government to pay. Sure we need the feds to pay for road improvements to the interstates, which comes from a gas tax, but we don’t need to be building bridges and roads to no where just so some crooked politician can get re-elected (Byrd-WV, Stevens-AK)
