I am still trying to figure out if the nation has indeed become a center-LEFT country. So far, I think it has, which does not portend well for our future. What we have going here is the fusion of the Baby Boomlet Generation (18-30 years old) and the Leftist portion of the Older Cohort of the Baby Boomer Generation. The Younger Cohort of the Baby Boomer Generation (of which I am one)and GenX are pretty much center-RIGHT. The WWII/Great Depression Generation, the “Reagan Democrats,” are dying off in buckets. So, what is replacing them are the Leftist Baby Boomlet kids. And there you have pretty much all you need to know about what is going on.
The Baby Boomlet Generation have been more intensely indoctrinated in the schools and universities than GenX was.
So, the really important question is: can significant numbers of that generation become disillusioned with socialism as people like me eventually were? Do enough of them have the kinds of minds that are open to experience and more learning?
I don’t know the answer to those questions. The next four years will clarify a lot of things.
Meanwhile, those of us who are center-RIGHT are not going to go away. We are not going to riot. We would only take up arms in the event of a really serious Constitutional crisis. They myth about us right wingers is that we are violent, knuckledragging hayseeds, but many of us, like myself, have advanced degrees. We have jobs, families, responsibilities. We have a life. We have our priorities straight.
And that is why the outrage over the destruction of Joe the Plumber by these chekists should reach into your souls. Be very afraid of what these Marxists are about to do to the nation.
