i voted for gore in 2000. i was barely politically conscious; i just thought the late clinton years were fine, why change? well, things changed. among them, more depressing by far, was the overnight transformation of most of my acquaintances into ravening bush-haters who, if you ever dared to bring it up, had nothing but excuses for the jihad – which of course doesnt really exist; its just criminals, you know, justifiably angry at us – and for saddam hussein.

do you have any idea how rich pelosi and kennedy and a huge number of the rest of the democrats are? i don’t even know any republicans, and almost everyone i know is rich by most standards. it’s like you people don’t even understand how the words coming out of your mouths relate to the actual world in which you live. this is why the prospect of an obama victory freaks the rest of us out: it’s like all anyone had to do was tell you Hey I Hate George Bush As Much As You Do! and you’re like Well You Shall Be Our President!
