RE: Two Camps of Finger-Pointers

You can also expect the traditional round of post-election-bloodbath finger-pointing that usually breaks down into two camps. The first group is the “we lost because we weren’t conservative enough” faction; the second is the “we lost because we were too conservative” squish posse. — John Hawkins

You left out the non-traditional camp; we’re too disorganized to deserve to win.

In my county, the local chair was elected because we thought we’d identified a lion. Too bad we were sadly mistaken. And I’m not so certain as to the quality of the team heading up the state-level organization either. They all seem so stuck in the previous millennium. And I’m not much younger than the local guy. And I think the state guy is my age.

We’ve had wonderful opportunities over the last two years to improve our operations, gather information that would be useful in this years battles, identify candidates for various offices at all levels of government and equip them for the fight. And we did NOTHING! Indeed, what little we did do was thrown away several months ago.

McCain may win, but at the local and state levels here, it would take a freaking ‘Act of God’ to win….And I’m PISSED!
