I am not aware that Robert Spencer has killed anyone, as Osama bin Laden has. I also am not aware of any “jihad” being conducted against the world’s Muslims. If anything, President Bush has been too solicitous of Muslims with his pronouncements proclaiming Islam as a “religion of peace” and a “peaceful religion hijacked by a small group of extremists.”

What does the Old Testament have to do with the essential message of Christianity? In fact, Jesus was put to death because he was guilty of blasphemy in the opinion of the religious authorities. There is no point defending that which does not need to be defended on any reasonable basis.
