Richard Epstein’s insights concerning both medical research and health care are of great value. It is sad that his voice is an isolated one. Once again, the left-wing media and intellectual institutions have disorted the truth. Few Americans have any idea that their own government often stands between them and a chance to survive a dreadful disease. The Republicans are bad enough on these issues. However, the Democrats are far worse. We must make sure the political candidates in 2008 place them high on their priority list.
