People need to remember that ACORN et. al. were ultimately responsible for the financial disaster we are in now. With the repeal of Glass Steagal in 1999, a rider was put on to enforce jimmy carter’s CRA (community reinvestment act) which made banks give risky loans. Afterwards ACORN et. al. continually sued banks for “redlining” thus forcing them to hand out cash to people who could not afford a home.. and of course they defaulted. Now they get rewarded with more cash..
