Obama certainly looks like the tax eater party’s candidate. In response, the taxpayers will work less to shift reward to leisure time from cash. I certainly expect to put in less overtime in the future under higher marginal tax rates.
On a systemic level, the Democrats’ energy policy will be a disaster for the country, both economically and for national security. Already, the electric grid is being prepared for remote rationing of electricity (and natural gas through thermostat control) in anticipation of shortages due to deliberate policy. Construction of new nukes will stop since the only real risk is government licensing. That risk blocks any prudent commercial investment. On the West Coast, we’ll become dependent on Russian LNG to keep the lights on.
I tried reading “Atlas” but quit about half way through. Besides being repetitous, none of her characters addressed the need for us to reproduce and care for our children. That is a critical social function that has driven my life decisions, as it does for most people.
The first hint of a move to suppress free speech on the internet or at FCC licensees or to make permanent voter fraud will cause me to radically ratchet up my political opposition.
