Ayn Rand projected her self-image onto “how everyone should be.” As a result she never took into account the entire broad spectrum of human experience, including the most fundamental task of raising a small child who is totally dependent upon his parents for food, clothing, and shelter. Such responsibility leads one to take jobs of need, rather than as fiscal trade.

Not just children, but the mentally-retarded, the permanently disabled, the chronically ill…

That’s just one example of Rand’s short-sightedness. In her world, these people wouldn’t exist.

For exposing real macro- and microeconomics, Rand was a genius. For the human mind and body, she was ignorant.
