I haven’t re-read Atlas in a while. I think it was Francisco who said, “Watch gold . . .” After less than 50% of Americans were sufficient to re-elect William Jefferson Clinton to a second term, I started buying gold coins (not certificates) and have them in a safety deposit box. My husband and I are retired, live fairly cheaply and could farm if we had to. The gold is for my grandsons so they’ll have something of real value when the crash comes.
