The real question here is, why exactly did all of you jump on this particular story and have been desperately attempting to prove it false ever since? To the extent that you’re digging up ex-girlfriends as character sources? What was so offensive about Beauchamp’s story? It certainly wasn’t the lack of plausibility, as any enlisted man who has been in a war will tell you.
