If you read Article II of the Constitution, there’s nothing in the job description of the President of the United States that in any way relates to taxes, raising them, lowering them, supervising them or anything to do with them.

Congress in Article I is granted a very limited power of taxation for well defined and limited goals.

In short, the President, in his official capacity, has nothing to do with taxes

And for the record, the bottom 50% of earners pay a grand total of 3% of federal taxes. The bottom 30% pays nothing at all !

And since you quote the foundingfather-persons, here’s one for yall who don’t seem to have a concept of the Constitution and how Barack Obama’s notions of “community organizin’” the federal government are completely antithetical to the kind of government those founders devised.

“I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents.” ~James Madison
