I am dreading the “important jobs speech” that the President is delivering this week. We all know he is going to propose something like a “jobs stimulus package” demanding that we put a trillion dollars more of borrowed money in to some new federal boondoggle. His flacks have been touting this approach on the TV talk shows (the inevitable Friedman, Krugman etc.) and at other venues (members of the Black Congressional Caucus.)
I swear that if I hear the phrase “I am appointing (blank) to be our new federal Jobs Czar….” I will send my glass of scotch rhrough the TV.
