Hmmm. This discussion is a bit wayward for my tastes. Anyone defending William Ayers and his wife of no soul…is either devoid of facts, devoid of critical thinking ability or devoid of scruples.
Watering down precisely who these two cretins are today, by suggesting that they were mere enthusiastic pups, putting muddy feet on the furniture in the 60′s…is blathering drivel and intentional deceit.
Ayers and Dorhn were and ARE…”tear down the system” purveyors of hatred for this country, and engage in despicable acts of attempted murder. For all the sanctimonious breast beating about “why” they were “fighting” …their targets were young kids in uniform and their innocent dates at Ft. Dix., a Brinks truck driver, average Jane’s and Joe’s at the Pentagon and New York’s finest in police stations. How…exactly…those folks were tied to the “war” effort…is beyond even the most tortured logic…especially given the timeframe and alleged purpose of the effort.
So, spare me the leftist claptrap about how poor Bill Ayers and his sociopath wife are now beyond reproach. They STILL hold the same frothing, raging and irrational hatreds that they always did. They STILL wish to overthrow the present system and will do so …by any means necessary.
And also spare me the vacuous homilies about Sen. Obama’s New Part associations, and his lifelong attraction to radical fringe Alynski-style misdirections and head fakes not being relevant…or as a “distraction” to the the voting public. If you aren’t afraid to let people know about these “guiding principles”…then great. Let’s get them out in the open and discuss them.
As for being “afraid” of his belief system…you can disabuse yourself of that arrogant and self-serving notion as well. I’m not “afraid” that he’s a Muslim…I could care less. I’m not “afraid” that he’s a Socialist or as Bill Ayers says a “small ‘c’ Communist”…I could care less. I wouldn’t vote for him if he was a communist, no matter how he capitalized it, but I’m not afraid of it.
But why not have that discussion HONESTLY…OUT IN THE OPEN AIR? Precisely because of…the seminal point that Rand made in this article. The real cowards…are the ones who are hiding this belief system and pretending to hold a different one. If you guys want Socialism…fine. Let’s call the question…does the rest of the country want it to…I’m HAPPY to have THAT discussion out in the open air. Are you?
