Wow, nice comments Marina, MikeH, AJ and RE. Real nice emotions there – did the critics drown your firstborn or something?

Would you want to spend money on movies you didn’t know anything about? Or music? Or games? Or cars? Or houses? Or anything for that matter?

So we DO need critics – I don’t have time, money or inclination to watch every movie or even a majority of them that come out.

And if most of the critics write that the movie sucks as a movie, what’s there to complain anymore? That they also attack its ideology? Lamentable but the ideology is brought to bear in such an ham-fisted way that it seems, you really can not fault the critics then. Fault instead Zucker – he could have made it subtle and intelligent, instead of “in your face”-thing.

And AJ – most people will love anti-bush films by anyone, since it is quite impossible to be pro-bush after eight years. And Maher’s anti-religion film is actually anti-church. You know, those organizations that regulate how you can pray, take your money and harass choir boys. Should not true republicans prefer that?
