Thugs have learned that they won’t get arrested or will get lighter sentences if they say they feel oppressed. Academics have provided the vocabulary of oppression to them. The public is taught not to use their moral sense to judge the rioters, but to accept the judgments expressed by “experts.”

When we quit accepting the bureaucracy of experts as our decision-makers and return to accepting the moral and ethical judgments of ordinary people who don’t belong to the “expert” bureaucracy, then police will be able to return to doing their job and rioting will cease.
