Yes she did speak directly to the American People.
Unfortunately what the American People really wanted was to hear her answer direct questions. Sarah Palin is a perfect example of what is wrong with the GOP. When the party revels in ignorance, it panders to the lowest common denominator, as is evidenced by the hateful speech at most McCain and Palin events now.
And no, I am not a liberal/Obamaniac. I grew up an unapologetic conservative. Unfortunately there are non left.
