You, and many others, wish that the human personality started out
as a blank slate (Tabula Rasa) on which anything could be written
by experience, allowing for the creation of a perfect society.
The fact, long observed and preserved in custom, and recently
demonstrated by scientific surveys of large groups worldwide,
is that the hardwired responses go right down to the genetic
level; Men respond to the hourglass shape of a healthy breeding
female, women are aroused by the sight of the face of a dominant
male, and both sexes of baby know that the food supply is marked
by a Bullseye.
