“It seems to me that people like breasts.”
Yep. I like ‘em.
For me, the most attractive part of a woman is her face. I get a greater pleasure response by seeing a very attractive female face than from breasts. Mind you, this pleasure response is purely aesthetic. Appreciation for feminine beauty does not have to be sexual.
On the aforementioned site, gotopless.org, the two polaroids asking allowed?/not allowed? ( I nearly died laughing) seem to be arguing that some things which are beautiful should be legally allowed to be seen in public because some things which are not beautiful are. They are shooting themselves in the foot with that. I dont think we want to set up aesthetic standards for what people, or parts of people, are publicly viewable.
That being said, writing dress codes into law is silly. Tell me if I am wrong; the basis for dress code laws is the assumption that viewing certain parts of people incites a sexual response. People (men) cant be held responsible for their behavior after that sexual response is activated.
Do I really have to list all the ways in which that is absurd? I believe that is the very same basis for the middle eastern dress codes that we, as Americans, despise.
