I don’t think it is an issue of whether they grasp American politics or not, but more as to who they would like to see represent America for the next 4 years.
This whole concept of “ordinary Americans” is an interesting topic in qualities of leadership. Who is really the most qualified? How would they react in situations based on their experiences?
Personally Palin seems like a decent person — do I think she would make a good vice-president with all its ceremonial pomp? Sure. Do I think she could handle a seat in the oval office? Absolutely not.
