I must have seen a different debate. I thought McCain debate won the first one. I LOVE Sarah’s whole personality, attitude, down-to-earthness. I thought she gave a great convention speech, and I’ve all of her apparently embarrasing interviews.
But I can’t believe people can say with a straight face that Sarah Palin knew what she was talking about last night. It was like watching a debate between a Senator and a Congressional intern. Probably after a few years in Congress, she would know her way around these issues pretty well. But if Biden had been debating the actual, real Minnie Pearl, I don’t think it would have sounded very different.
Does that mean she would be a bad President? How the hell would I, or anybody else, know.
OT, to Republicans who support the electoral college. What happened in Michigan perfectly illustrates the defects of the EC. As a result primarily of the migration patterns of African-Americans 60-70 years ago, McCain has decided to throw in the towel, and soon of course Obama will do the same. So now McCain supporters in Michigan have no reason to go to the polls. If there was no EC, just a popular vote, their votes would be just as important as every other McCain vote across the country.
