I’m still baffled by the idea some people have that business acumen automatically makes for a good President.
I suppose if one believes that money is all that is important, such a conclusion might make sense.
Silly idea, though. Money is all important only to small-minded people. It’s true that the likes of Obama, Clinton, Stalin, Mao, etc. all enjoy the wealth that comes with power, but power is what they crave above all.
Very few, if any, achieve an “A list” position in politics simply because of money. That kind of motivation is for the second and third string players.
