Van, thank you for your input. Yes, I am aware of the history you provided. Regardless, whether you view Islam as a religion or not, the First Amendment provided for First Commandment violations. With the ratification of the First Amendment, we ceased being one nation under God (Yahweh) and became one nation under many gods.
I am as or more opposed to Islam in our country as anyone on this forum. But the argument that Islam is not a religion is not going to get us anywhere. Some day, Christians are going to have to face up to and address the reason the Muslims and other infidels promoting their religions are even here in America. The fact is, had the framers fashioned a government like those the Colonialists did, based upon Yahweh’s moral law (His commandments, statutes, and judgments), we would not have the Muslim problem in America today. The fact is, the genesis of the Ft. Hood massacre (and others to come) is the First Amendment (along with Article 6).
