i also never understood why he was still called the “King of Pop” in the 2000s when he only had two pop hits (You are not Alone and You Rock my World) during the last 14 years of his life. once again, today’s MJ-obsessed youth don’t know how irrelevant he was from about the mid-90s and onward, and how he hardly performed, toured, or put out albums from that point on. MJ’s only real reign as a King of Pop was from the early 80s up until the late 80s or early 90s.
