Get your history right…there was no slavery in the North….and only 1% of southern whites owned slaves. I believe slavery ended with the 13th amendment in 1863…..you want to see racism? Check out other countries in the world…..give me a break. For that matter my grandfather wasn’t hired for jobs because he was Scottish and that was not that long ago….get over it. As far as I can see people today live in a country where we all have the same rights…we work side by side with all different people PEACEFULLY…for goodness sake take a look around at what is going on in other countries…..you can’t legislate against racism….we will always have people that are racist, but to say this country is racist is ridiculous.
