A republican president issued the Emancipation Proclamation and initiated the War Between the States. Later, a democrat president integrated the Armed Forces. With a negro in the White House, charges of racism contra blacks are difficult to sustain. Despite Obamas’ absolute failures in each and every area of government, his approval is at 46%! Fortysix percent of americans believe he is doing a good job. In 2012, add to that number the votes he will receive from folks who vote multiple times, from non-existent votes added to the count, from the dead, imprisoned, and the ficticious, and he may win. His base certainly includes the mentally ill and the retarded, ignorant and welfareites.
He is not opposed by racists; but by those who see him as a pathetic buffoon; a megalomaniac better suited to bussing tables.
