The moral of this story is probably that a CCW holder should do their utmost to be legal at all times, to never compromise the fact that they are carrying, and to avoid any behavior that can get them hurt or killed. Easier said than done? Perhaps! Best to weigh carefully things, like this incident, in advance, and to learn from it. There seems to be plenty of blame to go around in this incident.
