It’ll be much easier to make this argument post-debates… assuming that Obama appears unprepared in the debates.
Making the argument the McCain campaign’s focus for this week would be a huge mistake. It would be lowering expectations, and allow Obama to win the debates simply by appearing to know what the various issues are, while offering his usual vague platitudes and irrational slanders.
