Not Obama. Remember, he’s already committed us to helping “bail out” Greece. Zapatero in Spain wants the same deal, but without the German/French demands for fiscal responsibility (i.e., raising the retirement age from 48 to a horrid, dehumanizing 55).
He’s counting on Obama to bankroll the Spanish phase of Saving The European Union From Itself by providing cash- borrowed from China. Think of it as “Stimulus- The Sequel To The Sequel”.
And of course, that way, it will be the American taxpayer, not Spain, that has to pay the Chinese back.
Zapatero & Co. aren’t about to do anything to piss off the goose that lays their golden egg. Or provides them with their golden parachute.
