Sandra Bernhard Gets Away with Racist Anti-Palin Tirade
I’m sorry, but she’s being positive about black rapists, which is a little different from being prejudiced (though sane blacks and whites know it’s offensive) — it’s just more of the same, tired Norman Mailer crap. In that universe, it isn’t even wrong to suggest that black men wield the threat of rape — it’s considered courageously incendiary. The real target here, and what she’s mocking — and despising — is white women’s alleged “fears” of black men, a theme among much of the Left this election cycle, and one that was used AGAINST Hillary. She’s being positive about Jewish sexual supremacy and “white” female inferiority too, a particularly acceptable form of prejudice in many circles of influence (again, sane Jews and non-Jews know it’s offensive) — witness the critical reception of the latest ball of prejudice and weasly wet-dream by Phillip Roth about how much dumb, oversexed shiksas need to get into his irresistible Depends. Typical, tired, racist and sexist towards “white” women — I’m sure Bernhard is of the pathetic school that deems herself not really “white” since she’s Jewish — it’s really on the Jewish community center that sponsored this stuff to explain themselves and apologize, since what they are explicitly endorsing (and by the looks of their website, enjoying immensely) is a disturbingly sexualized breed of religious supremacy that has no place in decent society. And they know it. Why give them a pass and attack Hillary instead, who had nothing to do with this?
This is sexism, not racism. And that needs to be said because Hillary conducted herself with tremendous restraint as sexism and anti-white female racism piled on from the Left wing and the Right wing this election (much more from the Left, of course), so comparing her to Bernhard here is beyond inappropriate. She is on the receiving end, just like Palin. They’re throwing the same dirt at both of them, and both women are reacting the same way –like professionals who also know that this particular brand of racist, sexist, supremacist will only receive praise in the pages of the Times and the New York Review of Books. Et al.
