This is from a Californian. One big issue is completely missing from the original article, and explains why the left is furious with the choice of Palin. McCain has been hammering Obama for months as too inexperienced to be President. Then, when he decides it’s politically expedient, McCain chooses Palin to be, potentially, a heart beat from the Presidency. Palin’s resume, knowledge of economics and internation affairs, is extremely thin. This choice was the height of cynicism. It showed that McCain never took experience seriously. It was a tool to pound Obama with. McCain discarded this ‘principal’ the instant it suited him.

Now- the US left still blew it utterly in focusing their anger at Palin, rather than McCain, who was, after all, ‘the decider’ in this.

By the way, what in the hell is the fascination with a political leader who ‘is just like me’. Are people serious. I don’t want people ‘just like me’ performing in the movies or playing professional sports. And I sure don’t want them leading my country. We’ve just had 8 years of that kind of bozo, and destruction has followed everything he touched.
