Thank you for this perspective. I am an Aussie who has been watching the rise of Sarah Palin with intense interest, and I would agree – she’s real, authentic, no-nonsense, and a natural. I would describe myself as right-wing, conservative, sharing Palin’s views and perspectives, and excited about her in all sorts of ways. She excites me as few other politicians have excited me in a very long time.
Bush’s administration has in many ways been a failure, and America needs a new direction, and Sarah Palin could well provide that new direction. I therefore wish her the very best in this election, and look forward to seeing her take the oath of office.
Why do I write this? Because what happens in the U.S. affects us vitally here in Australia, for good or ill. So I with others take a close interest in events and affairs across the Pacific. Palin has also given me incentive to visit Alaska myself some day.
