Your ‘take away the teleprompter’ comment is absolutely true. I made a rookie attempt at analyzing some of Obama’s ‘ums and uhs’ type mannerisms from a CNN interview he did earlier this summer. Almost every one of his answers started with a ‘well’ or ‘you know’ or ‘look’ or all of the above. It wouldn’t surprise me if the video had some untranscripted ums and uhs but I was at work and couldn’t see the clip.
