I for one believe that this story demands in-depth investigation. If true, Obama is certainly guilty of treason under the Logan Act, which forbids unauthorized citizens from engaging in negotiations with foreign governments, in an attempt to influence or defeat the legitimate actions of the United States Government.
While it would be unlikely for Obama to actually be prosecuted under this law, it would certainly kill his bid for the presidency.
