First, let me set some people straight. The contract between Greenberg and Atlantic Monthly is what determines who owns the photographs.
Second, it’s standard smearing procedure for the Obama campaign to have surrogates slander, demean and slam McCain and Palin, not to mention their families.
Then Obama denounces the sexist, ageist or demeaning communication. So Obama wins both ways. One, the smear gets out, and two, Obama gets to look good denouncing it. A classic example of a young politician digging deep into the old bag of dirty tricks. A poster child for hypocrisy.
At the same time, Jim Bennett and the Atlantic Monthly have undoubtedly pulled the same crap. First, Bennett approves the unflattering photo. So it runs. Then he apologizes for what Greenberg did. And looks honest.
Left wing, mud slinging, bias in the media. Picture that.
From the front page of the NY Times every day to the front cover of Atlantic Monthly for all to see.
Some believe that the more people try to denigrate John McCain and Sarah Palin, the more people realize they’re the ticket to vote for.
Let’s hope so.
