I don’t mind the photo on the Atlantic cover. There is something refreshing about a picture portraying a man “warts and all”, as Cromwell is said to have said to his portrait painter.
That said, I *do* mind what Ms Greenberg did afterwards with the images (which she didn’t even own at that point — they were work for hire, and the Atlantic owns them). I *do* mind Photoshopping bloody shark teeth onto McCain’s face. I *do* mind the image of the chimp crapping on his head. I mind those, very much.
