It seems that Jewish people are prominent among those demonising Israel. It’s not just reticence to defend, it is positive desire to destroy.
There have been far worse but an editor of Israel’s main newspaper a few years ago, before the tide began to turn (ever so lightly), famously said it was his wet dream for Israel to be raped.
