Oh, Al, . . . Al Irwin,

I kind of get the feeling then, that, if I apply for foodstamps, I have shamed myself and my nation?
While in a general way, I’m against our own “endowments for the arts” grants—and, not here and now to lay open reasons—without reasoning, but merely to say that, some one is in some nondescript way reprehensible because his nation makes “endowments for the arts” grants, and some one has applied for and made use of that nation’s grant system, is, I think, to have broached a thing which would have to be fleshed out.
And to complete in the same vein, nor does logic require skepticism of me, simply upon a bald aspersion, . . .
And as you inject the Pals, tell us why Jordan first wished to assist them but then, put them out; and tell us something about why the Pals felt that, destruction of beautiful Lebanon was the thing to do—say something about how the Pals ended up where they now are. And tell us whether you think that, with an open border into Egypt, there will be larger and more rockets, or no, . . .
And if you say that, the Pals should use rockets, I’ll say that, engagement to conquest properly commenced, Israel should respond to such extent that, the Pals, rethink their drink before a second shot, . . .
