There’s a third psychological interpretation: that the ‘coincidence’ of the lipstick adage is like the ‘coincidence’ of the Biden VP text message arriving at 3 am, of all the times in the day — no coincidence at all.
Rather, it was a pattern of passive-aggressive behavior toward female opponents, where he does something that sends them an obvious middle finger but is just deniable enough that he can then do what passive-aggressive types do — call the other person crazy when they get the message (“You thought I was talking about you? You’re imagining things. You’re crazy!”)
